Regarding the establishment of the Minimum Wage Commission for its third term, Chairwoman Christiane SCHÖNEFELD stated:
"The Minimum Wage Commission was constituted for its third term at its meeting on January 21, 2025. The members of the Commission were previously appointed by the Federal Government upon proposals from the social partners. As part of its establishment, the Minimum Wage Commission adopted rules of procedure that provide the basis for consensual decision-making. It is the declared goal of all members of the Minimum Wage Commission to decide on future adjustments to the statutory minimum wage by consensus."
