Minimum Wages: International Experiences and Evaluation - International experiences in the evaluation of minimum wages

The workshop held by the Minimum Wage Commission on October 6 and 7, 2022, focused on current research into the effects of minimum wages and the requirements for their reliable scientific evaluation. The workshop not only looked at findings from the US, the UK, and Germany, but also at experiences from other European countries. The event kicked off with a keynote speech by renowned minimum wage researcher Arindrajit Dube, professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, followed by a response from Bernd Fitzenberger, director of the Institute for Employment Research (IAB).
