Dr. Arne Baumann

Dr Arne Baumann studied political science, economics and law in Passau and Vienna and completed his doctorate at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence. After working at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies and as a consultant for labour market policy for a parliamentary group in the German Bundestag, he worked for the European Training Foundation based in Turin.

PD Dr. Ralf Himmelreicher

Senior Scientist

Dr Ralf Himmelreicher studied sociology, economics, business administration and statistics at the Free University of Berlin. He obtained his doctorate (Dr rer. pol.) at the University of Bremen and his habilitation at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the Free University of Berlin. After holding positions at the Centre for Social Policy at the University of Bremen and at the Association of German Pension Insurance Institutions, he was most recently responsible for setting up the Research Data Centre for Pension Insurance at the German Pension Insurance Association.

Prof. Dr. Matthias Dütsch

Research Associate

Matthias Dütsch studied social sciences (sociology, economics and econometrics) at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and received his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) from the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. He worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Labour Studies at the University of Bamberg, in the meantime took over the W2 professorship for Sociology, in particular Market and Organisation at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Leipzig and has held the W2 professorship for Sociology, in particular Labour Research at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at the University of Bamberg since March 2023.

Dr. Clemens Ohlert

Research Associate

Dr Clemens Ohlert studied social sciences at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and the American University in Washington, D.C. and holds a doctorate in sociology from the University of Hamburg. He worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Labour Market and Occupational Research, Nuremberg, the Berlin School of Economics and Law and the Humboldt University in Berlin.

Juliane Pehla

Research Associate

Juliane Pehla studied sociology in Göttingen and Potsdam, specialising in labour market sociology. After working as a research assistant at the University of Potsdam at the Chair of Quantitative Methods in Educational Sciences and at the Social Science Research Centre Berlin in the ‘National Educational Panel Study’ research group, she most recently worked as a senior project manager at a social research institute.

Susanne Bühler

Referentin für Öffentlichkeitsarbeit

Susanne Bühler studied communication science at the University of Hohenheim, specialising in political science, journalism and public relations. After working as Head of Communications in a medium-sized company, as a consultant in a PR agency and as deputy press officer for a parliamentary group in the German Bundestag, she most recently worked as a marketing officer for a political foundation.
