Declaration on accessibility

Information on the accessibility of these websites in accordance with Section 12 BGG and on the relevant contact options.

This accessibility statement applies to the website of the Business and Information Centre for the Minimum Wage published at www.mindestlohn-kommission.de.

As a public body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we endeavour to make our websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

The accessibility requirements result from §§ 3 (1) to (4) and 4 of BITV 2.0, which was issued on the basis of § 12d BGG.

The review of compliance with the requirements is based on an assessment carried out by Materna Information & Communications SE in September 2020 in accordance with the legal requirements and global standards (EN 301 549, BITV 2.0).

The website is largely compatible with the requirements. There is only a small amount of content that makes it difficult for people with disabilities to access information or accessibility.

Content that is not barrier-free

The content listed below is not fully accessible:

  • Images and graphic functions do not always have clear alternative texts
  • Labels cannot be determined programmatically for all form elements
  • Form fields that refer to the user themselves do not convey the purpose of the respective field via a language-independent attribute
  • The contrast requirements are not consistently met
  • Additional content displayed when elements receive the pointer or keyboard focus cannot be closed without moving the focus
  • Some elements on the pages cannot be operated using the keyboard
  • In some cases, the keyboard focus is not clearly visible or not visible at all
  • The accessible name does not correspond to the visible name for all control elements
  • Error messages on the form fields are not displayed by the screen reader
  • The name, role or status for assistive technologies (e.g. screen readers) cannot be determined for all controls
  • Not all PDF documents are accessible

Reason

The Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health is constantly working on improving its website and has not yet been able to make all content and services digitally accessible due to the wealth of material on the portal.

We are endeavouring to remove all obstacles for people with disabilities identified in the September 2020 audit report as soon as possible.

Creation of this declaration on accessibility

This declaration was created on 01.06.2025.
